The Statos – Agios Photios village will host the 7th traditional agricultural products festival.
The festival, which will present the local products and technologies, will take place in the attractive green area of the village – on the community square.
The programme of the festival:
- Exhibition of the traditional tools and professions;
- Demonstration of the local wine;
- Preparation of Zivania;
- Preparation of palouzes;
- Making of Tachini, Halloumi and Anari;
- Tsamarella;
- Resi (traditional wedding dessert);
- Cyprus jams;
- Traditional Cypriot pastries, including ones soaked in grape syrup;
- Kattimerka (Cypriot pancakes);
- Fresh village bread.
The visitors will have the opportunity to taste and purchase the exhibited products, visit local wineries and small local businesses. The festival will also offer rich cultural programme as well.
Kids will be able to play on the playgrounds and in the bouncy castle, get their faces painted and paint something themselves or participate in the clay modeling, as well as play with the clown and to see lots of interesting things.
