Nicosia, Cyprus. An 87-year-old man injured in a traffic accident on April 29 died of his injuries overnight, police said on Sunday morning. The man was identified as Lefteris Koumoulis from Mammari.
Crash on Griva Digeni
Police said the crash happened at about 11am on April 29 on Griva Digeni in Kokkinotrimithia, when Koumoulis, who was driving a car along the road, lost control and collided with a small van driven by a 35-year-old.
Hospital treatment
Koumoulis was taken by ambulance to Nicosia general hospital, where he was diagnosed with multiple breaks and admitted to the intensive care unit in critical condition, police said.
Other driver
The 35-year-old driver was also taken to Nicosia general hospital, treated in accident and emergency, and sent home, police said.
