Agrinio, Greece. Cypriot water skier Andreas Konstantinou won two gold medals at the Panhellenic Water Ski Championship at Lake Stratos in Agrinio from July 10 to 12.
The 17-year-old finished first in both the Under-17 and Open men’s slalom events.
Rankings and previous achievements
Konstantinou’s results moved him to fifth in the European rankings and seventh worldwide in the Under-17 category.
He has competed in water skiing since the age of five and won the Under-14 European title in Spain in 2023.
Upcoming competition
Konstantinou is set to compete at the European Championship in Greece in August.
The federation also renewed its call for water skiing to be included in the 2032 Brisbane Olympic Games, describing such inclusion as a landmark step for the sport.
