Ayia Napa Municipality announces 2026 festival programme and opens call for participants

Ayia Napa, Cyprus. Ayia Napa Municipality has announced its 2026 festival line-up, with events running from spring through autumn to highlight local traditions, customs, seasonal produce and heritage. The municipality has also opened applications for participants across the programme.


Festival schedule from May to October

The Kataklysmos Festival – Fish Festival and Water Festival will be held at Ayia Napa Harbour on May 30 and 31 and June 1.

The sixth Pancyprian Carrot Festival will take place in Liopetri village on July 4 at the Achyrona Municipal Stadium, featuring carrots, carrot-based recipes and live entertainment.

The 13th Traditional Sotira Festival will be held at the courtyard of the Church of the Transfiguration of the Saviour in Sotira on July 7. Achna village’s Anti-Occupation Event will take place at the central square on July 24.

Avgorou’s Pancyprian Potato Festival will be held on July 25, with performers, chefs and exhibitors taking part.

The 8th Ayia Napa Traditional Flavours Festival will run from August 21 to 23. The 46th Pancyprian Kolokasi (Taro) Festival will return to Sotira on September 5.

The 42nd Ayia Napa International Festival is scheduled for September 25 to 27. The 6th Pancyprian Refugee Gathering at Achna will take place on October 9.

The Ayia Napa Medieval Festival, featuring participating groups from across Europe, will run from October 14 to 18.

Call for artists and organisers

Ayia Napa Municipality has invited artists, dance ensembles, event organisers and musicians to apply to take part in the 2026 festivals. An application form is available on the municipality’s website, and applications are open until Friday, March 20 at 12pm.
