Paphos, Cyprus. A moored boat at Paphos harbour suffered serious material damage due to strong winds and waves, according to the Cyprus News Agency. A crane was called to remove the boat from the water before it sank.

Damage caused by winds and waves

The Cyprus News Agency reported that strong winds in the area and the resulting waves caused the boat to repeatedly hit the harbour wall, leading to damage.

Boat removed and towed for inspection

The agency said a crane was called due to the seriousness of the situation to pull the boat out of the water before it sank. The boat was then towed to a safe location for further inspection and damage repair.
