Nicosia, Cyprus. An explosion damaged a parked car and the windows of a neighboring residence in the Nicosia district early Thursday, police said.
Incident and damage
The explosion occurred at around 1.10am outside the home of the car’s 50-year-old owner. The blast caused damage to the vehicle and to the windows of a neighboring residence.
Police response and investigation
Police were called to the scene, where a pyrotechnician determined that a factory-made firecracker had been placed inside the vehicle and detonated. Investigations are ongoing.
