Nicosia, Cyprus. The Central Bank of Cyprus has released a new set of Cyprus euro coins featuring paintings by local artist George Pol Georgiou. The issue is limited to 5,000 sets and will be sold in Cyprus and abroad for €25 per set.
Coin set details
The set includes four of Georgiou’s works: Interior of My Bungalow, Self-Portrait, St Spyridon, and The Rebirth of Cyprus.
Applications and registration
The Central Bank of Cyprus said applications opened on Tuesday and will remain open until June 21. Professional coin dealers applying to purchase numismatic items from the bank for the first time must register on the Central Bank of Cyprus list of numismatic dealers.
Sales schedule
Sales to the public and coin collectors will begin on June 22 through the Central Bank of Cyprus counters, electronically from June 22 to July 3 through https://zfrmz.eu/1g6qTtijZUIV1PCZocwf, or by order form from July 4 onwards through the form available on the Central Bank of Cyprus website.
