Nicosia, Cyprus. The annual Christodoula March scheduled for Saturday has been postponed due to a forecast of severe weather, the Cyprus Anti-Cancer Society and the Bank of Cyprus said on Friday.
Postponement decision
The organisers said the decision was taken to ensure the safety of participants, volunteers and organisers, and to allow the event to take place under suitable conditions.
New date and time
The march has been rescheduled for Saturday, April 25, beginning at 3.30pm in all cities.
Purpose of the march
Organisers said the event supports services offered free of charge to people with cancer and their families, and remains a symbol of solidarity and support, sending a message that no person faces cancer alone.
