Nicosia, Cyprus. President Nikos Christodoulides met European Union commissioner for energy and housing Dan Jorgensen in Nicosia on Monday to discuss housing and energy issues.

During the meeting, Christodoulides said both housing and energy were high priorities for the European Union.
Housing situation in the EU
Jorgensen thanked Christodoulides for his work in the field during Cyprus presidency of the EU council. He said more needed to be done at EU level, noting the EU is experiencing a housing crisis.
Energy prices
On the energy sector, Jorgensen referred to rising prices and said efforts are being made to address the issue.
