According to the report, revenues exceeded spending by almost 65 million euro, indicating 0.4% fiscal surplus.
Analysts believe that significant increase in revenues resulted in improvement of financial performance. Last year revenue increase to more than 7 billion euro, with expenses dropping by almost 2.5%.
Apart from Cyprus, budget surplus increase was also reported in Luxembourg, Malta, Germany and Greece, according to Eurostat.
