Cyprus average gross monthly earnings rise 4.3% year-on-year in Q3 2025, Cystat says

Nicosia, Cyprus. Average monthly earnings in Cyprus rose in the third quarter of 2025, with gross salaries increasing by 4.3% compared with the same period a year earlier, according to the Cyprus Statistical Service (Cystat).


Overall earnings trend

Cystat data showed average gross monthly earnings reached €2,452 between July and September 2025, compared with €2,352 in the third quarter of 2024.
Seasonally adjusted figures indicated earnings rose by 0.7% from the second quarter of 2025.
Cystat said all data from the first quarter of 2025 onwards are provisional and subject to revision.

Gender breakdown

Male employees earned an average gross monthly salary of €2,622 in the third quarter of 2025, while female employees earned €2,238.
On a year-on-year basis, earnings increased by 3.8% for men and 4.9% for women.
Seasonally adjusted data showed a quarterly increase of 0.3% for men and 1.2% for women.

Income distribution

Cystat reported that 36.5% of employees earned less than €1,500 per month, while 39.7% earned between €1,500 and €2,999.
Among higher earners, 12.7% earned €3,000 to €4,499, 6% earned €4,500 to €5,999, and 5% earned €6,000 or more.
Cystat said the relatively high average is influenced by a small proportion of high earners, while a large share of employees earn significantly less.
