More than 7% of the population of the island are registered blood donors. In addition, Cyprus is on the list of 62 countries, which fully cover their needs for donated blood.
This is mainly due to volunteers and donations, which bring 65 thousand units of blood to the donor centres annually.
At the moment an informative blood donations campaign is running on the island. The campaign will continue for one week inviting everyone to donate blood.
