Nicosia, Cyprus. The Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Keve) is proceeding with a digital overhaul aimed at improving services for companies and boosting internal efficiency, including the development of a mobile application. It has launched a preliminary tender for specialised consulting services to plan, prepare and supervise the project.
Preliminary tender and project objectives
According to documents published on the government’s e-procurement platform, the chamber is seeking consultants to support the planning and oversight of the initiative. Keve said the project is intended to digitise internal operations and improve the use of modern technologies to raise staff productivity and enhance the quality of services offered to member companies.
The chamber said that in a more data-driven economic environment, competitiveness and efficiency are essential for its sustainability and for strengthening its role within the business community.
Focus on member services and technology use
Keve said the transformation will prioritise faster and more accessible digital services for members, particularly start-ups, SMEs and international partners. It expects automation and artificial intelligence to reduce delays, administrative workload and errors.
The chamber said a modern digital platform would enable personalised communication, automated support, improved networking between businesses and broader use of data-based decision-making. It added that the project is also intended to signal to investors that Cyprus is investing in innovation.
Scope of work for the successful bidder
The successful bidder will analyse Keve’s current situation and digital needs, prepare technical specifications and tender documents for the main implementation project, and supervise its execution.
The consultant will first produce a report mapping existing IT infrastructure, internal workflows, services to members, data management capabilities, staff digital skills and training needs, and strategic goals involving technologies such as artificial intelligence and cybersecurity.
Main implementation tender and planned components
The consultant will then draft documentation for the main open tender, estimated at less than €300,000. The main project is set to include automation of administrative procedures, development of a digital platform and mobile application, and integration of AI tools.
Keve said the AI tools are expected to support 24-hour member assistance, personalised services and information, productivity gains for staff, and enhanced collaboration among companies.
What impact do you expect Keve’s planned digital platform and mobile application to have on member companies?
