Cyprus Customs reports 5.6% rise in 2025 revenues, adding more than €75 million

Nicosia, Cyprus. Cyprus’ Customs Department said total revenues in 2025 rose 5.6% compared with 2024, adding more than €75 million to state coffers.


Revenue breakdown

The department reported that import duties revenue increased by 11.5%, or €6.8 million.

Total excise duty revenues rose by 7.1%, amounting to an additional €38.2 million.

Revenue from other sources increased by 9.3%, contributing an extra €0.5 million.

VAT on imports rose by 4%, generating an additional €30 million in revenue.

Government support measures

The Customs Department said the results contributed to the government’s ability to announce recent support measures for the economy and citizens following the crisis of the war in the Middle East, as well as the impact of foot-and-mouth disease on livestock farming.
