Cyprus industrial output price index rises 0.2% year-on-year in January 2026

Nicosia, Cyprus. Cyprus’ industrial output price index rose marginally year-on-year to 122.1 units in January 2026, according to the state statistical service (Cystat). The index fell 0.6% compared with December 2025.


Monthly developments

The month-on-month decline was driven mainly by the electricity supply sector, where prices fell 4.4% from December 2025 to January 2026.

In contrast, the water supply and materials recovery segment rose 1.9% over the month. Mining and quarrying increased 0.4%, while manufacturing rose 0.2%.

Year-on-year changes

Compared with January 2025, mining and quarrying recorded the largest increase at 7.9%. Water supply and materials recovery rose 0.9% year-on-year, and manufacturing increased 0.6%.

The overall index was moderated by the electricity supply sector, which posted a 2.1% annual decrease.

Manufacturing divisions

Within manufacturing, electronic and optical products and electrical equipment increased 5.0% over the 12-month period. Furniture, other manufacturing, and the repair and installation of machinery and equipment rose 4.3% year-on-year.
