Nicosia, Cyprus. Cyprus’s Industrial Production Index rose to 113.0 units in December 2025, a 3.5% increase compared with the same month a year earlier, according to the Cyprus Statistical Service (Cystat). The index uses 2021 as the reference year, set at 100 units.
Full-year performance
For the period from January to December 2025, industrial production increased by 3.6% compared with 2024.
Sector trends in December
Manufacturing rose by 4.6% year-on-year in December, serving as the main driver of growth. Water supply and materials recovery increased by 3.2% during the month.
Electricity supply declined by 2.4% compared with December 2024, while mining and quarrying fell by 1.7%.
Manufacturing subsectors
The largest annual increase within manufacturing in December was recorded in the manufacture of furniture and other manufacturing, including the repair and installation of machinery and equipment, which rose by 13.8%.
This was followed by the manufacture of wood and products of wood and cork, excluding furniture, up 11.9%, and the manufacture of machinery and equipment, motor vehicles and other transport equipment, up 8.1%.
Production of other non-metallic mineral products fell by 7.4%, while electronic and optical products and electrical equipment declined by 2.3%.
Cumulative manufacturing performance
For the year as a whole, the manufacture of other non-metallic mineral products recorded the strongest increase, rising by 10.9% compared with 2024.
