Cyprus industrial turnover index rises 4.9% in December 2025, led by manufacturing

Nicosia, Cyprus. Cyprus recorded a 4.9% increase in its industrial turnover index in December 2025 compared with the same month a year earlier, according to the Cyprus Statistical Service (Cystat). The index rose to 139.8 units, with 2021 set as the base year of 100.


Annual and monthly index performance

For the full year of 2025, the industrial turnover index increased by 5% compared with 2024.

Sector breakdown

Manufacturing was the main contributor to growth, with its index reaching 146.8 units in December 2025, representing a 7.1% increase compared with December of the previous year. Mining and quarrying turnover rose by 6% year-on-year.

Electricity supply turnover declined by 3.8% over the same period, while water supply and materials recovery turnover fell by 6.8% year-on-year.

The Industrial Turnover Index reflects monthly changes in turnover across mining and quarrying, manufacturing, electricity, and water supply. These categories correspond to sections B, C, D, and E of the NACE Rev. 2 statistical classification used across the European Union.
