Nicosia, Cyprus. Total sales of petroleum products in Cyprus rose 4.9% in December 2025 from a year earlier to 123,274 tonnes, according to data released by the Statistical Service (Cystat). The increase was driven mainly by higher volumes of marine and aviation fuels.
Year-on-year changes
The largest rise was recorded in marine gasoil provisions, which increased 76.3% year-on-year, while sales of aviation kerosene rose 23.6%. Asphalt sales climbed 51.4%.
Heating gasoil increased 10.9%, motor gasoline rose 7.5%, and road diesel was up 6.1%.
Sales of light fuel oil fell 82.8%, heavy fuel oil declined 34.9%, and liquefied petroleum gas edged down 0.6%.
Sales from filling stations rose 5.7% year-on-year to 64,311 tonnes.
Month-on-month changes and stocks
On a month-on-month basis, total petroleum product sales increased 2.8% compared with November 2025. Motor gasoline rose 9.7% and road diesel increased 2.1%, while aviation kerosene provisions fell 18.3% and marine gasoil declined 9.6%.
Petroleum product stocks at the end of December fell 7.6% compared with the previous month.
