New summer regulations are concerning high-speed boats – vessels with a length of up to 15 m and a speed of up to 15 knots. The boat can be only managed by adults who have been issued a special license from the Merchant Shipping Department.
When renting a boat, the owner of the vessel is fully responsible for instructing hirer about boat operations, safety etc. By law, also the relevant agreement must be signed by the parties on the shore.
Among other pre-cautions, the document also includes a ban on water skiing, which is prohibited 13:00 to 16:00. During other time, water skiing is allowed at a distance of up to 700 m to the shore. The restriction is valid for summer season – from May 1 to September 30.
