Nicosia, Cyprus. Cyprus Deputy Minister of Tourism Costas Koumis said on Friday that the impact of recent regional developments on tourism has so far been manageable, despite a 4.9% drop in arrivals in May compared with 2025. He said the ministry remained optimistic and would continue to closely monitor air connections.

Tourism arrivals and market outlook

Koumis said the Deputy Ministry of Tourism is closely monitoring developments while evaluating data. He said May arrivals showed a slight decrease of 4.9% compared with the corresponding period in 2025, adding that the level was similar to that seen in 2024.
