Brussels, Belgium. Energy Minister Michael Damianos said all EU informal councils scheduled to take place in Cyprus between April and June will go ahead as planned. Cyprus had moved all March meetings online or postponed them following a drone strike on a British air base earlier this month.

Meetings to proceed after March disruption

Cyprus, which currently holds the rotating EU presidency, shifted all March meetings online or postponed them after the drone strike amid the Iran crisis.

Cypriot officials said the attack was carried out by an Iranian-made Shahed drone, likely launched by Iran-backed Hezbollah from Lebanon.

Minister says situation has returned to normal

“Things are all back to normal. All business, including your business resumes and all informal councils to be held in Cyprus between April and June will be held in the normal way,” Damianos said ahead of a European foreign affairs meeting in Brussels.
