Athens, Greece. Cyprus’ revised tax system, in effect since January 1, 2026, will be presented to businesses and investment organisations in Greece during an event in Athens on March 6, 2025.
The session is scheduled for 10:00 to 14:30 at the Theocharakis Foundation Amphitheatre at 9 Vasilissis Sofias Avenue and Merlin Street.
Purpose and timing
The event aims to provide Greek enterprises with a comprehensive update on recent changes to Cyprus’ taxation framework. The initiative comes as Greek investment in Cyprus continues to grow.
Speakers and presentations
Tax Commissioner Sotiris Markides will deliver the keynote presentation, offering technical insights into the legislative changes underlying the new tax system.
The programme will open with introductory greetings from the Ambassador of Cyprus in Athens, Stavros Avgoustidis, and Stavros Stavrou, President of the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Iosif Iosif, President of the Cyprus-Greece Business Association, will also deliver a welcoming address.
Dimitrios Skalkos, President of Enterprise Greece and Secretary General for International Economic Relations at the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs, is confirmed as a speaker.
Participating organisations
Auditing and legal firms will participate to outline specialised services available to Greek businesses and individual investors operating in Cyprus. A representative of Invest Cyprus is also scheduled to address the broader investment landscape.
