Nicosia, Cyprus. Cyprus recorded an 18.0% increase in tourist arrivals in December 2025 compared with a year earlier, according to data released by the Cyprus Statistical Service (Cystat). The rise was driven mainly by visitors from Israel and the United Kingdom.
December 2025 arrivals
Tourist arrivals reached 156,959 in December 2025, up from 133,063 in December 2024.
Israel was the largest source market in December, accounting for 19.1% of total arrivals, or 30,020 visitors.
The United Kingdom contributed 19.0% of arrivals, equivalent to 29,826 visitors, but this represented a 5.3% decline compared with December 2024.
Poland ranked third with 17,779 arrivals, making up 11.3% of the total and recording a 42.5% annual increase.
Germany placed fourth with 11,569 arrivals, a 53.5% rise, while Greece recorded 11,413 arrivals, representing 7.3% of the total, despite a 4.6% year-on-year decrease.
Full-year 2025 performance
For the January-December 2025 period, total arrivals climbed to 4,534,073, compared with 4,040,200 in 2024, representing a 12.2% annual increase.
Other market changes
Arrivals from France rose 55.6% to 2,046, while Romania recorded a 61.6% increase to 4,183.
Hungary posted the highest growth rate, with arrivals rising 81.8% to 969, and Austria recorded a 37.8% increase to 2,353.
Declines were recorded from Norway, where arrivals fell 33.2% to 385, and Denmark, where arrivals decreased 2.8% to 663.
