Cyprus weekend guide features art exhibition, book bazaar, food market, walks and spring flower festivals

Nicosia, Cyprus. Warmer weekend temperatures in Cyprus coincide with a schedule of outdoor events, including markets, guided walks, exhibitions and spring flower festivals. Activities are planned across Nicosia, Pervolia, Paphos and Paralimni.


Exhibition opening at Pierides Museum

The exhibition “Nina Iacovou: Eyes to See and Hands to Touch” opens at the Pierides Museum, presenting works by the Cypriot artist. The opening is scheduled for Thursday at 7.30pm with a cocktail reception in the garden, and the exhibition will remain open for one year.

Outdoor book bazaar in Nicosia

Soloneion Book Centre will hold its Outdoor Book Bazaars on Friday from 5pm to 9pm and on Saturday from 9am to 6pm, with stalls set up in front of the shop and discounts of up to 80 per cent.

Fork Food Market and Nostalgia Quiz Night

The second Fork Food Market is set for Friday at the Nicosia Municipal Gardens from 6pm onwards, with four new vendors joining. Trego will serve burgers and spare ribs, Pastadelic will offer two types of pasta and tarhana balls, Foofies will serve desserts, cookies and ice cream, and The Vendor will prepare handmade dumplings.
Later on Friday in Nicosia, the 6th Nostalgia Quiz Night will take place at Antonakis Music Hall with pop culture trivia covering television shows, music, videos and cultural moments from past decades. The event will be hosted in English.

Cape Kiti coastline tours

The Cyprus Marine and Maritime Institute will present Faro Walks with a tour of the Cape Kiti coastline. Participants will meet at the historic Pervolia Lighthouse and be guided along the coast to learn about the natural environment and plans to enrich the area. Two tours are scheduled for Saturday morning, one in English and one in Greek.

Saturday vintage and antiques markets in Nicosia

The Sustainable Bazaar will take place at New Division on Saturday from 10am to 6pm, with vendors selling vintage and second-hand items.
The Grand Antiques & Vintage Market will return at the New Strovolos Town Hall Square Gardens on Saturday from 10am to 5pm, featuring collections ranging from antique furniture to retro décor, vinyl records, jewellery, art and collectables.

Anthestiria flower festivals in Paphos and Paralimni

On Sunday, Paphos and Paralimni will hold Anthestiria Festivals with parades and live music. In Paphos, the festival will begin at 4.30pm with a parade starting from Griva Digeni Avenue and moving to 28th October Square, followed by games, activities and live music until 8pm.
The Ammochostos Anthestiria Festival will start at 4pm from Kappari Avenue with a flower-decorated parade, followed by a live music programme at the avenue’s parking lot and a concert featuring Stavros Constantinou and Andri Karantoni.
