Nicosia, Cyprus. The Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission on Friday issued a public warning about j2t.tech, saying the website is operated without the required regulatory authorisation. The regulator said the website does not belong to an entity approved to provide investment services or perform investment activities.
Regulatory warning
The commission said j2t.tech is not associated with an entity that has been granted authorisation for the provision of investment services or the performance of investment activities.
Investor protection
CySEC said it issued the warning as part of its role as the national financial supervisory authority and to protect the investing public.
Advice to the public
The regulator urged investors to consult its official website before conducting business with investment firms. It said this allows the public to verify which entities are properly licensed to provide investment services or conduct investment activities in Cyprus.
Verification step
CySEC said taking this precaution can help individuals avoid engaging with firms that have not met the standards required for authorisation.
