Digital Vortex Entertainment and Firevolt announce collaboration on Salvation Denied

Nicosia, Cyprus. Digital Vortex Entertainment, part of Utmost Games, announced a collaboration with indie developer Firevolt on the upcoming game Salvation Denied. The publisher said a time-limited open playtest on Steam has launched for one week.

Game concept and gameplay

Salvation Denied is described as a chaotic, comedic, physics-based co-op building game offering a multiplayer experience. Players take on the role of teams of up to four construction robots working together under pressure.

The gameplay focuses on racing against time to build towering structures on a hostile planet with extreme conditions. As structures grow taller, they become increasingly exposed to meteor showers and other environmental threats, requiring constant adaptation.

Players must balance building, repairing and avoiding obstacles while responding to incoming dangers. The game features massive construction machinery and gravity-bending gadgets to move materials and stabilise structures.

It also includes mechanics that allow players to reposition each other, creating opportunities for slapstick-style interactions and chaotic gameplay.

Release plans and playtest

The full release is planned for autumn 2026 on PC via Steam, followed by a launch in 2027 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.
