Nicosia, Cyprus. Elam remained in third place in the latest polling ahead of next week’s parliamentary elections, while Disy led narrowly over Akel, according to a Prime Consulting poll for Sigma published on Friday.

Top parties and projected vote shares

Disy was forecast to be the largest party with 18 per cent of the vote, its lowest forecast share in polling this year. Akel followed on 17.6 per cent, 0.4 percentage points behind.

Elam was forecast to win 10 per cent, its worst polling figure since the 2021 parliamentary election and below its share at the 2024 European Parliament elections.

Mid-table positions: Alma, Diko, and smaller parties

Former auditor-general Odysseas Michaelides’ Alma placed fourth on 8 per cent, two percentage points behind Elam. Diko was fifth on 7.4 per cent.

Diko has finished third in every parliamentary election since coming second in 1985 and has not polled outside the top three since its founding in 1976.

Social media influencer Fidias Panayiotou’s Direct Democracy Cyprus was forecast to win 6.2 per cent, placing sixth after having polled as high as fourth earlier in the year. Volt was seventh on 3.6 per cent.

Government-supporting parties and lower-ranked groups

Despite Diko’s historically low forecast share, it remained the best supported among parties that support the government, with both Edek and Dipa forecast to lose all their parliamentary seats.

Edek was forecast to win 2.3 per cent in eighth place. The Ecologists’ Movement was ninth on 1.9 per cent, and Dipa was 10th on 1.7 per cent.

The Hunters’ Movement was forecast to win 1 per cent, the lowest share among parties listed.
