Enterprise Europe Network Cyprus highlights EU consultation on proposed Construction Services Act

Nicosia, Cyprus. Enterprise Europe Network Cyprus has informed stakeholders about a European Commission public consultation on the proposed Construction Services Act under the Single Market Strategy. The consultation is open until April 20, 2026.


Consultation and stakeholder participation

Enterprise Europe Network Cyprus, coordinated in Cyprus by the local chamber of commerce, called on businesses, professional bodies and other interested parties to take part in the process. The consultation is intended to help shape the future regulatory environment for construction services across the European Union.

Aims of the proposed legislation

The proposed Construction Services Act seeks to modernise the regulatory framework governing construction services, reflecting evolving market conditions and the need for greater coherence across member states. It also aims to boost sector productivity by addressing structural challenges and supporting innovation and efficiency within the industry.

Cross-border services and SMEs

Another objective is to facilitate cross-border provision of services, with an emphasis on improving conditions for small and medium-sized enterprises seeking to operate beyond their national markets.

How to participate

Stakeholders are invited to complete an online survey via the Enterprise Europe Network Cyprus website to submit views and feedback. Participation requires creating or using an EU Login account to access and complete the electronic questionnaire.
