Eurobank participated in a panel discussion on both the local and global economic outlook

Nicosia, Cyprus. Eurobank took part in the Money Conference 2026 this week as a platinum sponsor, contributing to discussions on global economic developments and alternative investments.

Held under the theme “Market Outlook and Alternative Investment Solutions,” the conference examined major international trends shaping the economic environment and the growing role of alternative investment solutions in modern portfolio management.

A panel discussion moderated by Menelaos Poullis, CFA, Manager Wealth Management for Institutional Clients at Eurobank, focused on prospects for the global and Cypriot economies and recent developments in alternative investments. The panel included speakers from J.P. Morgan Asset Management and Eurobank.

Key issues raised during discussion

Poullis highlighted central bank policies, the impact of inflation, fiscal policies and public spending, Cyprus’ public debt relative to GDP, and economic growth rates. He also addressed the role of alternative investments in enhancing returns and diversification within investment portfolios.

Eurobank statements on fund services in Cyprus

In a statement released on Thursday, Eurobank said it recognised the steady growth of the investment funds sector in Cyprus over the past decade and responded by creating ERB Funds VCIC Plc in 2017.

The bank added that it assumed the role of custodian for investment funds with both simple and complex structures, operating within and outside Cyprus.

Eurobank said it provides a range of custody, oversight and cash monitoring services to meet increasing demands from investors and fund managers and to ensure compliance with the applicable regulatory framework.

It also emphasised its commitment to accurate valuations, transparency in transactions and effective risk management, supported by ongoing investment in technological systems and human capital.
