Fire breaks out in abandoned house in Larnaca; residents evacuated temporarily

Larnaca, Cyprus. A fire broke out in an abandoned house in Larnaca late on Wednesday night, the fire brigade said on Thursday. The fire was brought under control shortly after two fire engines arrived.


Fire contained within minutes

The fire brigade said the fire started at around 11.30pm. Two fire engines arrived on the scene shortly afterwards, and the blaze was brought under control by 11.44pm.

Temporary evacuation

People in the area were temporarily evacuated. The fire brigade said no people were “in danger” at any time.
