Evrychou, Cyprus. A fire in the car park of Evrychou’s village council building in the Troodos mountains damaged a fire engine and two other vehicles belonging to the game service, police said on Thursday. The fire broke out at 1.25am and was later extinguished by firefighters.

Police officers cordoned off the scene, with investigations into the incident expected to begin in due course.
