Paphos, Cyprus. Firefighters extinguished a fire that broke out early Saturday morning in an abandoned residence near the centre of Paphos. The blaze was contained before it spread to adjacent buildings.
Fire at abandoned building
The fire occurred on the second floor of the building in the Mousalas area near Ayios Theodoros church. The residence has been abandoned for some time.
Emergency response
The fire service said no one was inside the building. Officers responded with two fire engines and brought the blaze under control.
Investigation
The causes of the fire are under investigation.
