Avgorou, Cyprus. A fire reported late on Sunday destroyed approximately 750 hay bales in Avgorou, while the cause of the blaze remains unknown.
Police said the incident was reported at around 10.20pm, and officers and fire service personnel were sent to the scene.
Fire response
Firefighters brought the blaze under control. Crews remained at the site as a precaution against possible flare-ups.
Investigation
The cause of the fire has not yet been established. The Famagusta criminal investigation department is continuing its investigation.
