Hermes Airports cites positive momentum for Cyprus air connectivity after CONNECT 2026 forum

Lublin, Poland. Hermes Airports reported positive momentum for strengthening Cyprus’ air connectivity after participating in CONNECT 2026. The company said discussions pointed to encouraging signals ahead of the summer season and promising early indications for winter.


Forum participation and airline meetings

Hermes Airports said its Air Service Development team attended CONNECT 2026, described as one of Europe’s leading and strategically important route development forums, held from February 17 to 19, 2026.
The company said the team held 20 targeted meetings with airline partners focused on enhancing connectivity at Larnaca and Paphos airports, securing new routes, and expanding existing airline operations.

Summer season booking trends

According to Hermes Airports, early booking trends from key markets including the United Kingdom, Poland, Scandinavia and Switzerland were performing strongly. The company said newer markets such as Spain and Italy were also showing promising momentum, adding that these emerging markets were beginning to generate a sustainable base of inbound demand.

Promotion focus and winter outlook

Hermes Airports said continued and focused promotion of Cyprus, alongside targeted engagement with specific traveller segments, would be essential to build on the positive trajectory.
The company said early indications for the winter season were also promising, with several airlines expressing interest in extending seasonal programmes or transitioning to year round operations, reinforcing prospects for year round air connectivity.
