Hermes Airports reports 66 flight cancellations in Cyprus amid regional conflict effects

Nicosia, Cyprus. Hermes Airports said dozens of passenger flights scheduled to arrive at or depart from Cyprus’ two passenger airports were cancelled on Wednesday, as the island’s airspace felt the effects of the ongoing regional conflict.


Scale of cancellations and operating flights

Hermes Airports said a total of 66 flights had been cancelled, while 103 were expected to go ahead as planned.
Of the cancellations, 48 concerned flights to or from Larnaca and the remainder concerned flights to or from Paphos.
Of the 103 flights expected to operate, 65 were operating in or out of Larnaca and 38 were operating in or out of Paphos.

Current air links from Larnaca and Paphos

As of Wednesday afternoon, Hermes Airports said Larnaca’s air links with 22 countries remained intact, with most destinations located in continental Europe.
Paphos retained air links with 13 countries, with all destinations except the United Kingdom located in continental Europe.
