London, United Kingdom. Invest Cyprus continued its Minds in Cyprus initiative in London on Tuesday with a career-focused event aimed at reconnecting UK-based Cypriot professionals with the labour market in Cyprus. The event at The Peninsula Hotel followed a session in Birmingham on Monday as part of efforts to turn the island’s brain drain into a brain gain strategy.

UK roadshow focus

Unlike last year’s broader launch in London, this year’s UK roadshow is more targeted, bringing Cypriot employers into direct contact with professionals who may be considering a return, looking for their next career move, or exploring changes in Cyprus’ economy.

According to the official Minds in Cyprus platform, the roadshow includes a Birmingham networking event and presentation of the initiative, followed by the London event on Tuesday, June 23, at 5pm.

Support for returning professionals

The platform said attendees would be able to explore career opportunities in Cyprus, connect directly with leading employers and learn more about the support available to make a return more realistic.

Invest Cyprus said the events form part of the wider Brain Gain Initiative, which is designed to connect Cypriot professionals abroad with employment opportunities in Cyprus and present the benefits of working, living and building a career on the island.
