Tehran, Iran. Iran is examining details of various diplomatic processes to manage tensions with the United States and hopes for results in the coming days, foreign ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei said on Monday.
Diplomatic processes under review
Baghaei said regional countries have acted as intermediaries for messages exchanged between Iran and the United States. He said various points had been exchanged and that Tehran was deciding on and examining the details of each diplomatic process.
Baghaei said the issue pertained to the process and framework of talks.
Context of U.S. military buildup and comments on talks
His comments came amid a military buildup by the U.S. Navy near Iran. U.S. President Donald Trump told reporters last week that Iran was “seriously talking” with Washington, hours after Iran’s top security official Ali Larijani said on X that arrangements for negotiations were underway.
What do you think the next step should be in the diplomatic process between Iran and the United States?
