Tehran, Iran. Iran’s intelligence ministry said it targeted posts of “separatist groups” seeking to enter through the country’s western borders, adding they sustained heavy losses. Three sources with knowledge of the matter said Iranian Kurdish militias have consulted with the United States about whether and how to attack Iranian security forces in western Iran.

According to three sources with knowledge of the matter, Iranian Kurdish militias have consulted with the United States in recent days about whether, and how, to attack Iran’s security forces in the western part of the country.

Claims of cooperation and alleged foreign plan

The Iranian ministry statement, carried by state media, said Iranian forces are cooperating with “noble Kurds” to thwart what it described as an “Israeli-American” plan to attack Iranian soil.
