Winning draw and ticket details
The winning numbers were 40, 36, 5, 32, 33, with Joker number 8. The winner placed the minimum bet of €6, with the minimum stake for each of the six numbers set at €1.
Tax and payout record
Of the €11.6 million, the winner will be taxed about €2.3 million. Sotiris Mesaritis, director of OPAP Cyprus, said the amount is the second biggest ever won in Cyprus, after a €16.7 million payout in 2017.
Where and how to claim
Lottery officials said the ticket was submitted at a local betting agency in Pano Deftera, in Nicosia district, and the winner’s identity has not been made public. Mesaritis said the winner can claim the prize directly at the betting company’s offices and does not need to return to the outlet where the bet was placed.
Requirements and transfer timeline
To collect the winnings, the winner must present a valid identity card and a bank IBAN number. The funds would be transferred to the winner’s bank account by the same afternoon.
