Keve and Koag sign memorandum to strengthen housing and land development policies

Nicosia, Cyprus. The Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Keve) and the Cyprus Land Development Organisation (Koag) have signed a memorandum of cooperation to strengthen housing and land development policies. The agreement is aimed at supporting national policy objectives on housing and sustainable development.

Framework for cooperation

The organisations said the memorandum marks the start of a strategic partnership focused on housing and sustainable development. It establishes a framework for cooperation enabling structured collaboration on key economic and development issues.

Exchange of expertise and joint initiatives

Under the agreement, the two bodies will promote the exchange of expertise and information to improve policy formulation and implementation. They will work on joint policy proposals and organise common initiatives and consultations with the business community and other stakeholders.

Focus on the real economy and affordable housing

The memorandum places particular emphasis on linking housing policy with the needs of the real economy, citing pressures in labour and property markets. The cooperation will also explore solutions for affordable housing, especially in areas facing increased demand and supply constraints.

Roles of Keve and Koag

Within the framework of the agreement, Keve will play an advisory role representing the business community and conveying its needs and positions on development issues. Koag will retain its executive role in implementing housing and development projects, ensuring continuity in its operational mandate.
