Nicosia, Cyprus. The Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Keve) announced internationalisation opportunities for local small and medium-sized enterprises aiming to expand into the Chinese market. The initiative is being advanced through partnerships with the EU SME Centre.
2026 SME Business Mission to China
Keve highlighted the 2026 SME Business Mission to China, scheduled for April 13, 2026, to April 18, 2026. The mission will focus on Haikou and Shenzhen and is intended to provide a platform for European firms to showcase their brands.
Participating companies will be able to present their products at the China International Consumer Products Expo, also known as the Hainan Expo. The programme also includes market briefings and dedicated B2B meetings aimed at fostering direct commercial links.
“The EU SME Centre is organising a business mission to China, offering selected European SMEs the opportunity to present their products at the China International Consumer Products Expo, as well as participate in market briefings and B2B meetings,” the EU SME Centre said.
Digital training through webinar series
For businesses unable to travel, Keve said the EU SME Centre has released its “Understanding China” webinar series to provide digital training and market intelligence. The series covers EU–China relations and the current economic outlook, as well as risk management and China’s evolving regulatory landscape.
