Athens, Greece. The Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Keve) announced the completion of a mission to promote Cypriot universities in Greece after organising education fairs in several cities. The initiative also included meetings aimed at strengthening business and investment relations between the two countries.
Education fairs and programme promotion
Keve said events were held in Heraklion in Crete, Rhodes and Athens, attracting interest from students and parents. The mission’s primary objective was to promote undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes offered by universities in Cyprus and to provide comprehensive information to prospective students and families about academic opportunities in the country.
Institutions and cooperation
The mission was carried out in collaboration between Keve, the Trade Service of the Ministry of Energy, Commerce and Industry, the Commercial Centre of the Republic of Cyprus in Athens, and the Education Ministry. Nine Cypriot universities took part: the University of Cyprus, the Cyprus University of Technology (Tepak), the Open University of Cyprus, the University of Nicosia, the European University Cyprus, Frederick University, Neapolis University Pafos, the University of Limassol (UoL) and the Cyprus Institute.
Attendance and parallel meetings
Keve highlighted the presence of the Ambassador of the Republic of Cyprus to Athens, Stavros Avgoustides, at the exhibition held in Athens. Alongside the educational activities, the mission included meetings to strengthen business and investment relations between Cyprus and Greece, including discussions in Crete with Vangelis Karkanakis, President of the Heraklion Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Iosif Kypraios Papadimitriou, Commercial Counsellor of the Trade Service of the Ministry of Energy, Commerce and Industry and the Embassy of the Republic of Cyprus in Athens.
