Beirut, Lebanon. Lebanon’s health minister said nearly 400 people have been killed since Israel launched its campaign against Hezbollah earlier this week. Rakan Nasser reported 394 deaths and 1,130 injuries since Monday.
Casualty figures
Nasser said the dead included 83 children and 42 women. He said the injured included 254 children and 274 women.
Minister’s remarks
During a briefing on Friday, Nasser said the attacks were targeting civilians rather than soldiers and military facilities.
