Larnaca, Cyprus. Police arrested a 24-year-old man on Wednesday in connection with the attempted murder of a 19-year-old in Larnaca last Sunday.
Incident and injuries
Police said the victim was first struck in the face before being stabbed with a sharp object. Friends took him to hospital, where doctors found a deep wound to the kidney area and a ruptured kidney.
Events leading to the attack
Police said the two men were at the same coastal nightclub when an accidental collision in the crowd led to an argument.
Court appearance
The suspect is due to appear before Larnaca district court on Thursday for a remand hearing.
