Man, 27, arrested in Limassol after handbag with €8,200 reported stolen from unlocked car

Limassol, Cyprus. Police arrested a 27-year-old man on Wednesday following a complaint that a handbag containing thousands of euros was stolen from an unlocked car in the city.


Complaint and reported loss

The car belonged to a 68-year-old woman. Police said the handbag contained €8,200 and various personal documents.

Arrest and items found

The incident was reported at 2.15pm. At 7pm, police arrested the suspect and said he was found in possession of €7,780 and a mobile phone belonging to the woman.
