Limassol, Cyprus. A 28-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a violent brawl that took place last December in the Ayia Zoni area of Limassol, police said on Sunday.
Arrest and investigation
Police said the arrest was made as part of an ongoing investigation into offences of conspiracy to commit a felony and rioting linked to the incident, which occurred on December 26, 2025. The suspect was located and arrested on Saturday night under a court warrant issued against him.
Details of the incident
The brawl took place shortly after 9pm, when around 15 Indian nationals reportedly clashed with each other using metal bars, wooden sticks and clubs. Three people were injured during the confrontation.
Earlier arrests
Police said investigations after the incident led to evidence against 12 foreign nationals, who were arrested the day after the attack.
