Paphos, Cyprus. A 67-year-old man was arrested in connection with a suspected fraud involving €9,800 obtained through false representations, police said on Friday. The Paphos CID is continuing its investigation.
Alleged agreement
The case concerns an incident in January 2024, when the suspect allegedly claimed to own a company and agreed to install photovoltaic panels for the complainant.
Police said he received the agreed payment but did not carry out the work.
Investigation
Investigators established that no company exists under the name used by the suspect.
The man was arrested on Thursday night after being wanted by police.
