Nicosia, Cyprus. Police on Saturday night arrested a 32-year-old man in connection with a case involving a stolen vehicle and unlawful possession of property. Officers located a vehicle parked in the city that had been reported stolen on March 17, 2026.
Vehicle located and suspect arrested
According to a police statement, the vehicle was placed under surveillance and the suspect was observed approaching it. Police said an arrest warrant had already been issued against the 32-year-old in relation to the theft of the specific vehicle.
Items found during search
Police said that during a search, officers found wallets, credit cards from various banking institutions, European identity cards and keys for other vehicles, among other items, in the suspect’s possession.
Further arrest and court appearance
The suspect was re-arrested for the flagrant offence of unlawful possession of property and was expected to appear before the district court in Nicosia on Sunday for the issuance of a remand order.
