Opap Cyprus appoints Panayiotis Georgiou as legal manager to oversee legal services

Nicosia, Cyprus. Opap Cyprus, a member of the Allwyn group, has appointed lawyer Panayiotis Georgiou as legal manager, assigning him oversight of the group’s legal services in Cyprus. The move is part of a broader strategic plan led by chief executive Alexandros Davos.

The company said the appointment is intended to strengthen its administrative structure as it positions itself for a new phase of growth while maintaining full alignment with regulatory requirements.

Experience and regulatory focus

Opap Cyprus said Georgiou brings experience in commercial and corporate law, as well as expertise in regulatory compliance, with an emphasis on harmonising the company’s operations with the framework set by the National Betting Authority (NBA).

Previous roles

Before joining Opap Cyprus, Georgiou served as a senior partner at law firm Pyrgos Vakis LLC. His professional background also includes service in the Anti-Money Laundering department of the Cyprus Bar Association (CBA).
