Paphos, Cyprus. The Paphos municipality met with members of the Paphos fire brigade on Friday to discuss awareness and information activities on fire prevention and safety. The meeting focused on coordinating a public event as part of fire safety week 2026, scheduled for April 20 to 26.

According to a statement from the municipality, participants discussed organisational matters related to the planned public event, as well as initiatives aimed at informing and raising public awareness about fire prevention and safety.

Acting Paphos mayor Angelos Onisiforou said public awareness and prevention are key elements in protecting human life and property, while also strengthening society’s readiness to respond to fire risks.
